• (Ten)ses •

This decade
has been a minute.
Somehow I blinked
and there you were
and then I blinked
and there you weren’t.
Losing you has been
a ten year yesterday
that I keep wishing
I’d wake up to.

This decade
has been an eternity.
Somehow, I grew up
without you in an age
that went on and on
into a tomorrow
you would never see.
Losing you has been
a ten year forever
that I keep wishing
I could sleep through.
