Like the moon tonight,
I am full of light.
Like the stars tonight,
I am falling,
but still screaming bright.
Like the sky tonight,
I grow darker sooner,
and may stay that way longer,
but when my light returns,
it will burn back stronger.
The solstice tonight
carries magic that
the ancients once did see.
But her magic persists now
and endures in me.
